The guys running this place were friendly and welcoming, all staff were great. We were welcomed by regulars and joined them with our nightcap. Great area for walking. Food good. Rooms comfy and cosy. We'll be back!!

Visited here for lunch at the end of last week after a walk with the dog. This pub is very dog friendly and they even provided a bowl of water. Bar staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite. Great selection of local hand pulled ales which you can try a sample of first if you want to. Good food menu too with a range of options from starters or light bites to mains and open sandwiches. I chose liver and bacon on mash potatoes and onion gravy, very well presented and delicious too. Sat in the public bar area which was comfortable and a had good friendly atmosphere. There is a separate restaurant area if you want table service and the pub has a garden too. I would definitely recommend visiting this pub if you are in Hambleden or nearby, very good ale, food and customer service.

We went for a birthday lunch here. The find was good and the location is fantastic. The pub is well looked after.

As a vegan was disappointed that the only thing on the menu I could eat was a ploughmans minus the bread and ham. I was presented with a dry slice of bread, a quarter of an apple and a browning limp stick of celery and charged full price (£10) for going hungry. Awful.

Good food and service, nice location and decor. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
