Rooms are a good size and have all the basic needs. Wouldn't have minded a bigger Tele. Bit hard to see the text on from the bed. Staff are polite and the hotel is kept in a very clean order.

Cheap, cheerful and clean where it counts. It fulfills the 3 B's rule - Bed, Bathroom and Breakfast However... It was slightly weird when a very tall, strange man opened my bedroom door and seemed surprised that I was in there. The man revealed himself as a manager (of what was unclear) and said there had been a report that the smoke alarm didn't work. He then unscrewed the cover of the device, and pointed at the cavity within "There are no batteries in this!" He then looked at me, sternly. "Have you taken the batteries out?" he demanded. "When was the fault reported", I countered? "This morning, by the cleaners" "Um, well, I booked in at reception about 30 minutes ago" "Today?" He squinted at me suspiciously. As though I might have some time travelling wearable tech secreted about my person. "Yes, today, this afternoon, about half an hour ago." I attempted a facial expression that combined sincerity and mild bewilderment. I could see he was not convinced in the face of my flimsy evidence of innocence. So, I played my ace card - my height. At 5ft 3" I could not physically reach the ceiling let alone filch the batteries. - I stood on tippy toes and stretched out my arm up to illustrate. As he gazed down at my hand, and the yawning gap between the tips of my fingers and the smoke alarm, I saw defeat in the face of reality in his eyes. He retreated rapidly, with grumbling a promise/threat to return later with batteries. I felt quite sorry for him really

We stayed overnight and had a basic but very comfortable room. The breakfast was all you can eat buffet style and a very good price. The hotel was situated right next to the Eden shopping centre 2 minutes walk to the entrance. Would highly recommend.
