Went here for Sunday roast. Its was delicious. Potatoes, yorkshires, gravy and veg was spot on. Good decor. There is a private function room available upstairs. Place is clean and staff friendly.
The service was brilliant but the food wasn't. It was OK but I don't think I'd go again. £17 for a bottle of house rose was a bit much too. The batter on the fish seemed to keep the fat it was cooked in encased in the fish. I had a bit of stomach ache after it. The starters were fine. The atmosphere was nice though. Would be nice for drinks but I don't think I'll eat there again
Lovely place now called Cork and Fork. Very nice food and staff are very friendly- recommended!
The place is modern and clean with a very nice decor. We had the two courses with a free drink for £15 I think it was, which is good value for money. The food was of a decent standard for a midweek bite to eat. The staff were very friendly. So all in all a good place for a midweek bite to eat so I would definitely recommend this place based on our visit tonight!
Staff are attentive. Food was very nice, although couple of dishes a touch too salty for our liking but that could be personal taste. Desserts recommended as not only tasty but decent "proper" sized portions. Downstairs can be a touch drafty when door opens but atmosphere and food make it well worth a visit.
Lovely place to meet and eat Sunday lunch with friends. Meal was lovely but a bit disappointed we needed to let them have the table for other guests coming to eat. Guess we had been there for 2 1/2 hours. Just needed to go and continue chatting somewhere with our friends and not had to leave and go home
Food was lovely but were not told about a surcharge until the end. This was embarrassing in front of our family to say the least. Put a slight damper on the party. Also the ladies need attention. Overflowing bin and broken toilet seat. Not good for elderly members. Won't be returning
Tonight my hubby and I went along for dinner. Got our beers and started to have a relaxing chat. About 30 mins later we asked the waitress if we could order only to be told "No in a while, the kitchen is busy". We are local residents and have been here many times before never to be treated like this. Absolutely disgusted and will not be returning or ever recommending. How rude , could of just said we are busy and may be a wait and that would have been fine...its a shaje because the food is lovely :
We had our Christmas meal here. Good quality food. Good service. They slapped a 10% service charge on the bill. They didn't tell me this when I booked. But overall I was satisfied.
Lovely staff and nice food, note this is now called the Cork and Fork! They do range of burgers including chicken, beef and veggie, steak, curries and alot of dishes as standard come with Thai vegetables and they make really nice homemade chips, thin and oven sizes which you can add toppings on. Nice atmosphere and lovely staff who are attentive and friendly. Note to mention they also make their own Cheesecakes which are amazing, such as Aero and Galaxy flavour. Good range of ice cream choices for the kids including Unicorn, chocolate gateaux and the usual favourites.
