Visited recently for a special evening out. Had been recommended by a friend and it really fulfilled my expectations. The decor inside was lovely and it was very busy despite it being a Wednesday so I would definitely recommend booking. Had a fabulous starter of king scallops accompanied by a glass of prosecco and a main of beef wellington. Both courses were delicious though I did wish at the price my starter was larger. Decent wine menu and a few items at the lower price point. Disappointed that the additional vegetables took a while to arrive with the main but I'd put that down to how busy the restaurant was. I really enjoyed the meal but definitely one for a special occasion as it is pricey. Also only having one vegetarian starter and main on their a la carte menu really isn't good enough. Should be at least two on both sections. Vegetarian options: Disappointing lack of vegetarian options. Luckily my partner was happy with the one option available otherwise we would have gone elsewhere.

We spent a wonderful evening in family. The first time with our kid. Tasty wine and delicious food, with the company of my loved ones in a cosy atmosphere. I would highly recommend booking your table in advance, just in case, as it can fill up very quickly through the evening.Food: 5/5
The only problem with this restaurant is choosing what to eat. The food and service is of the highest standard and the flavour combinations are unique. I had the trio of fish which was sea bass,cod and halibut, pea puree, wild garlic and jersey royal croquettes in white wine sauce. despite being differing sizes and thickness each piece of fish was cooked to perfection. My entree of smoked duck breast, ballottine of pate, poached peach, Earl Grey jelly, brioche crouts was the best starter so far between here and Spain. The fillet of English beef was the best piece of steak and cooked to perfection. And then the prawn and crispy squid -sensational. All of this as well as being bookended in a famous spot just off Penny Lane.
Another fabulous meal cooked and served to perfection. Best in Liverpool. We had scallop and squid to start, and Sea Bass and Hallibut for mains all totally delicious.Food: 5/5

Absolutely exceptional place. We were visiting Liverpool for a girly weekend and my friend had heard Melvin from Radio One recommend Spire and boy, weren't we grateful! Menu was expansive and all five of us chose a different dish and the food was supreme. Lovely, friendly service and really pleasant ambience. Thanks for having us!Food: 5/5
