We very much enjoyed spending the evening with the owners and their daughter in the pub. They were so friendly and the hospitality was outstanding! Our room was clean, comfy and cozy! We were not able to sample the food as it was the chef's night off but we did have good conversation with the chef. We would definitely stay there again and hope to in the future!
Great pub and great hotel! The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Whole place covered in gorgeous paintings of Yorkshire. Stayed 1 night, no regrets, great price, next to a fantastic and very cheap fish and chip shop and not far to the station!
If I could give this place a zero stars I would, 1 star is being too generousnnAbsolutely disgusting place. We booked 2 nights and travelled 3.5 hours to stay here 30th & 31st December based on photos etc online, what a mistake that was! The room we were given was absolutely disgusting, stains on the carpets, holes in the walls, tea cups stuck to the window ledge, damp you name it the room had it. We booked the room as a double but the bed is no where near the size of a standard double bed. The only chef onsite could only cook burgers so no other food options were available which was only told to us when checking innnWe raised our concerns with the hotel and were told to raise it with the online agent we booked through. We did this 3 times and every time the hotel failed to respond in the time frame set in order to try avoid the situation and avoid issuing a refundnnWe're currently hundreds of pounds out of pocket after having to find alternative accommodation or travel homennHonestly, avoid booking to stay at this place at all costs. We can't stress how awful it is
Went for a meal for two, not local but looked nice. Great atmosphere lovely staff and a broad menu, we had two burgers and they were one of the nicest burgers we’ve ever had. Highly recommend 5 stars
This hotel was really disappointing. It looks great from the website, but our room was basically falling apart! Window handles lying on the window sill, furniture handles that had also fallen off, water pipes that hissed and banged. And although the bedding was clean, the rest of the room didn't look like it had been cleaned.
