Value for money, good/average/poor are very subjective and may/may not be useful to prospective patrons. Facts, however, are indisputable. In early March, notwithstanding log fires, it is very cold. All rooms, together with the ladies' rest room, are upstairs. In consequence, it is elderly/infirm unfriendly. The bar serves reasonable beer and has a good selection of gins and whiskies. However, my choice of wine from the "excellent wine list" of which they boast, was unavailable. Breakfast was good but quality of evening meals decidedly average. Three stars is a generous rating. Would I return, definitely not. Would I recommend - not really!

Old fashioned country pub that does good food. Friendly atmosphere, mainly visited by locals. A little isolated as in a small hamlet, so nothing much else to do there. Bedrooms are quaint but quite small as are the beds. Though comfy, almost fell out!

Lovely pub good beer. Called in on way home after fishing, rugby game was on. Sat and watched it with locals and enjoyed the atmosphere

Great beer, great food and the best Landlord. Super picturesque location. Would highly recommend.

Myself and my partner had lunch at this pub, on Monday, Easter Bank holiday. We had three courses, all fabulous. And the staff were very friendly.
