Really pleased that we found this place. Just one street away from the main square but a lovely secluded place to escape to. Stripped back decor with cushions and wall hangings made from jute coffee sacks. Most importantly the coffee was great.
A true hidden gem. A lovely independent coffee shop that serves great tasting coffee and lovely fresh food. The staff are friendly and the place itself is beautiful inside and out with lots of plants and quirky decor.
Visited this coffee shop this morning after reading the good reviews. Two women were serving- very unfriendly and rude. The male waiter however was friendly and upbeat. This place is overpriced- £3.50 for a hard, unfresh croissant! Won't be visiting again. Ordered a latte which came in a tiny glass cup and tasted awful
Nice little coffee shop. Great coffee and ambiance!
Awesome spot, tucked away from the main town centre. Loved the vibe- unpretentious, but tasteful and nicely decorated. I personally loved the chipboard bar etc.- ignore the haters. Top notch filter coffee and flat white with beans from local roastery I believe- Butterworth and sons. Super juicy, flavourful and good prices too. Staff were really welcoming and friendly- exactly what I look for in a coffee joint. Will certainly be returning next time I'm in bury
Best coffee in town hands down. They serve a very high quality drink in appropriate sized ceramic. If you after a Costa bucket of coffee it's not the place for you. Great ambience and the staff are clearly all skilled baristas.
Tiny, coffee-obsessed cafe wth a small but interesting selection of pastries & other eats and coffee-making equipment. Very knowledgeable staff. The owner is, I believe, one of the well-known Butterworth family of coffee roasters. No air-con on a very hot day & seating a little cramped but it makes for a nice friendly atmosphere. Love it. Oh, and the coffee is great! with different filtered roasts/blends available to try as well as espresso-based coffees
Cosy little cafe with nice artwork, idéal for a quick catch up. Last time we went in unfortunately they weren't selling any food we had been tempted in by the menu on the door of choose your own filling for your bagel. This time we just went for coffee, lots of choice but a bit overpriced for the size of the coffee, you can get more for your money at the M&S cafe, but obviously the atmosphere is better at Guat's up. They sell a lot of coffee merchandise there that you cannot necessarily buy elsewhere.
Coffee is okay, slightly on the bitter side and nothing to write home about. Smoothies are decent though. Had the avo on toast which was okay - nothing you couldn't knock up yourself though. Eggs on toast was the worst I've ever seen/tasted at a restaurant or at home. Mix up in the kitchen resulted in an hour wait but to their credit they gave a free pair of coffees for the inconvenience. Suspect the manager hasn't managed a cafe before as they should definitely have a numbering system in place - first lecture of cafe 101!
Walking in to this chilled coffee house you find it not only had a good vibe but also a split personality which we look forward to trying. During the day, it's a traditional Coffee shop and in the evening they bring out the mixologist to deliver cocktails. As for the coffee? Even their house filter blend is changed every 90 minutes to assure it's freshness. Ask some of the others if they do the same? It helps that they both roast and grind their own coffee as this really helps to deliver a constantly changing blend of outstanding tastes. You have to give this place a go. We'll certainly be back.
