This place always seems to be busy, which speaks volumes. May be worth booking a table to be sure to get in. Wife and I were very satisfied with our lunches and the price was reasonable,  although  I felt my portion could have slightly larger,  but maybe I've just got a big appetite. Love the local beer, kept well. Great location, friendly atmosphere, good local country pub, would recommend and will definitely be returning.

Very nice, friendly staff, food is good and portions of good size. No long wait, and a good range of menu choices. Will be visiting again.

This was the second time we have eaten here and again we were very happy with both the service and the food.  We did make the mistake of not booking this time and very nearly couldn't get a table but after a bit of moving around the land lady managed to fit us in, worth booking as this place does get busy. Ales on tap, freshly cooked food and friendly staff.
