The Beer Cellar

About

Specialist craft beer bar.

Story

We are a specialist draught and bottled beer bar in the centre of Exeter! We have 6 cask and 9 craft kegs on at all times. The Beer Cellar has been set up from our love of proper tasty beer and is Exeter's craft beer venue. As well as 15 beers and ciders on draught we'll have a choice of around 40 bottled craft beers from around the world, so you can enjoy at the bar and at home too. Our food menu is American diner-y, lots of slow cooked meats and interesting nibbles.

We do not book live music acts. If you message me with a request that we book your act you may receive an hilarious/offensive/crushing reply.

An excellent place for a quiet pint. Very nice and knowledgeable bar staff, interesting craft ales, ciders and beers, and regular changes to what's on tap. Awesome outdoor seating on the cathedral green. Great central location. Very small and intimate setting, so not great for large groups.
Another great find! Right by exeter cathedral they have great selection on tap! And it frequently changes. Benefit with this place lovely big open seating area outside. So when it's nice I would say it the place to go
Very good craft beer bar. The staff have a great knowledge of the large range of craft beers that they sell. The have tap takeovers from breweries in the local area and a great range of exotic bottled beers. There's an outside seating area with a view of Exeter cathedral Without doubt the best place to drink craft beers in Exeter.
Wandered into here because the atmosphere was spilling out of the windows, the bar is only small but well worth a visit. The three thirds board is a great way of trying lots of different beer and the barman's knowledge helps you pick something you'll love.
The Beer Cellar is a awesome little pub. You can vape!! Vapers are welcome. They have a very good range beers and ales. The staff are very friendly. There are some very interesting books to read and games to play.
Visited the Beer Cellar on a work night out at Christmas, the poor barman was ascended upon mid afternoon with a huge number of people in a small place. Was incredibly professional as well as very welcoming. The selection and range of Beers available was fantastic!
Nicely situated off the cathedral square, this small venue has 12 draft options with a nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Worth taking a dog, grabbing some takeaway food and settling in with a board game.
Swing by once a year when down in Devon, always good offerings on tap.
Great place excellent staff very knowledgeable- toilets upstairs- outside seating- cask ales- German lagers-
