One of the nicest and friendliest pubs I have been to in a long time. It is situated in the most beautiful rural surroundings and from the minute we opened the door we felt like we were visiting a friends house, big roaring fire, really friendly faces and a warm welcome. We had lunch which was exceptional quality and delicious. The staff were really attentive, not just with us, everyone was being treated like a valued friend. The staff team were young but so brilliantly recruited, it was a joy watching them go about their work. It's no wonder the place is so popular, when I am next in the area I will 100% go back, if this place was in London I would be a regular for sure
Wow is all I can say. We were at a private function in the library seating area. Staff were lovely, attentive, looked after us throughout the few hours we were there. Beautiful food and so reasonably priced. All round a ten star if I could. Well done guys.
For our anniversary "date night", we chose this place as it had excellent reviews, and the menu looked very good. Didn't see too much of the outside, as we went later in the evening, but it looks impressive as you drive close to it. We were a little unsure how to find our table as there are no signs or notices as you enter, but we stumbled into the bar and eventually worked our way around. We had asked for a little extra leg room, as I have arthritis and can find it difficult to get in and out of smaller spaces... It was nice of the waiter to let the whole restaurant know... To start I had the mushroom soup, which was thick, comforting and delicious. Followed this with fish chips - these were equally as good. Finished with an ice cream brownie sundae. Yum! Overall, staff were very helpful and it's obvious that they know what they're doing. It's off the beaten track, but give it a go if you're nearby.
I very rarely give reviews but I just had to for The Beckford Arms. The pub is lovely, serving gorgeous food and has fantastic customer service - even my initial email enquiries were answered promptly and very helpfully. When we got to The Beckford Arms the pub looks lovely from the outside and that continues on through to the inside. The staff are very friendly, attentive and courteous and got all the details just right, even managing to rustle up a countryside pub version of a fortune cookie for my 6 year old niece when she asked for one! The food is beautifully presented and very tasty. All nine of us said it was one of the best pubs we have been to in terms of location, food, ambiance and fantastic staff. It really is worth a visit and not far off of the A303 if you are making a long journey to the westcountry and fancy a break. We had four dogs with us and they all got dog treats and were also made to feel incredibly welcome, and as an added bonus there are some good walks right on the doorstep. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a lovely memorable family day out. Thank you, The Lewis family
We've been coming here for eight years now and are still amazed at how completely wonderful this pub is; Aside from the spectacular setting, this place churns out the most consistently delicious, carefully prepared moreish plates of food, always served with a smile by knowledgeable, keen staff. We will never stop coming and consider this a home away from home.
We enjoyed our stay at The Beckford Arms. All the staff were so lovely and helpful. Our meals were all good, and the cocktails made for my wife were great. The location was beautiful, and we will go back. Nearby activities: Longleat and Stourhead also Salisbury are close.
Ridiculously cosy pub in a beautiful location. Roaring log fires. Comfortable seating. We met up with family for lunch and were treated very well by staff. The food was delicious. I can't wait to go back!Service: 5/5
Stayed one night here in the Arch, with dinner and breakfast. Totally fabulous experience. The attention to detail in the rooms, the service, the food, all absolutely wonderful. I'd come back in a heartbeat.Rooms: 5/5
Deserving of its acclaim. Pleasant serving staff comfortably dealt with the bustling weekday lunchtime crowd. Beckford Phoenix from the Keystone Brewery went down a treat.
Had an amazing family meal in the dining room. Outstanding food, fantastic service, great value, and an excellent venue. Could not recommend this place enough!Service: 5/5
