Nice little pub. Stopped in for a meal with friends and the food was very good. Prices on par with everything else in the area. Drinks prices a little steep. At least dick Turpin wore a mask. £11 for a single rum and coke and a single vodka and coke. Other than that a good night was had by all

All you would imagine an English pub to be, lovely settings n surroundings, good food, helpings a little on the large side but scrumptious, atmosphere lovely, waitress very helpful n friendly n appreciated the tip. Knew her job n carried it out wonderfully, toilets clean n we weren't the only people eating which is always a good sign. Didn't have to wait too long for service either, thumbs up all round.

Big traditional looking pub but it is split into different areas which makes it seem quite cosy. There are sitting, lounging and dining areas. Also an outside seating area which I did not investigate on a cold, wet winter evening. I was hungry but not starving so had a starter and two sides all of which were delicious. Main courses sounded interesting. House red was good Recommended

Nice enough looking pub with an okay selection of beers. Food however is not great. One dish came out cold and another over cooked. Fortunately they did resolve this. The macaroni cheese is a bit of a joke. Literally boiled macaroni with a small portion of cheese grated on top. Staff and management are helpful and hospitable though, I just would recommend that you don’t eat there.

Dropped into the bear today for lunch. I had catch of the day, it was seabass with fennel, vine tomatoes, saute potatoes and capers. It was one of the best lunches I've ever had. Really outstanding.
