A great place for a family walk. There is a big lake, wooded area and open air arena. Lots of trees etc for the kids to climb on. Only 4 stars because £9 per adult seems a lot - Tips a smallish car park so get there early, the toilets are in the car park there are none in the park. There is a small kids playground and a cafe serving hot and cold food, lots of geese and ducks so take some food.

Claremont is a very convenient place for a stroll as it is only a short drive away. I enjoy looking at the ways the light reflects off the lake. Today it was refreshing to walk in the cold sunlight - indeed parts of the lake were frozen - and see snowdrops and daffodils. There are various different routes you can take around the gardens, each with their own points of interest.

Lucky to have this on our doorstep and we are regulars. Lovely walks around the lake and beyond if you explore off the beaten track. Has a nice kids play area and ample seating for the grown ups. The coffee shop/restaurant is ice but can get busy, it had good outdoor seating but not ideal if weather is bad. Car park is quite large but fills up quickly and at event times like Halloween, Easter etc it can fill up very quickly and there isn't really parking outside.

What a beautiful and serene location. My girls loved exploring the garden. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful setting. You can walk a small lap of the lake. Has a small outdoor play area for children which my daughter loves. Cosy cafe
