Story

With two miles of sand, dramatic cliffs and fantastic surf, Watergate Bay is also home to The Beach Hut, perhaps the best, most laid back après-surf venue in the county.

Right next to the sand, The Beach Hut has stunning views across Watergate Bay from both the indoor tables and from the decked balcony that runs around the restaurant. It’s all about relaxing with the chilled out beach vibe of Watergate Bay.

The menu runs from breakfast through coffees, lunches and afternoon cakes to dinner. Cornish fish is always on the daily specials board and the menu is focused around steaks, burgers and shellfish with an emphasis on local, seasonal produce.

Try the grilled Cornish rib-eye steak, the pulled pork sandwich or perhaps the Thai mussels with a side of sweet potato fries and chilli sea salt. Kids have their own menu of dishes that even the fussiest eaters will love and the puddings are original, imaginative and far too tempting.
A comprehensive drinks menu is available all day, from lovingly made Origin coffees to the iconic Extreme hot chocolates complete with chocolate discs and marshmallows. If you’re looking for great food with the most jaw-dropping view in Cornwall, head to The Beach Hut at Watergate Bay.
