This is an excellent pub for lunch after a walk along the coast. We had walked the fairly easy stretch along the coastal path from Carbis Bay. We like the sheltered garden and the lovely atmosphere. All staff are very friendly and the choice and quality of food is excellent. We are vegetarians, so choice can be limited, but there was plenty of choice here. Great beer too! Thank you.
Quality food, great atmosphere even when quite, really friendly staff, plenty of games to play, noticed regulars popping in and have their drinks poured almost without asking. I had 6oz Burger from the specials and although doesn't sound much, the burger was thick, decent meat quality and very filling. Will be back again for sure!
We were looking for Sunday roasts in the area as staying round the corner. The Badger Inn came up as we looked round and saw the Sunday roast was highly suggested. To say the least none of us were disappointed. Out of 7 of us, all of us enjoyed the meal. £13.99 for a medium roast and choose between 3 meats, beef, pork or turkey. Opting for beef and pork, I did not go wrong. Crackling was spot on, salty and brittle with a nice crunch. The roast potatoes was the best I've had for a while, crunchy outside with a soft inside and well salted. Very full afterwards and very glad I picked the medium, not the large or small. 100% would recommend as the staff was accommodating and friendly. Will come back when down this way again.
Our first visit to The Badger for Sunday lunch. The staff were great and made us welcome and helped and advised with our requirements of Gluten free and veggie. Will certainly be back again. May even try their quiz night on Tuesday, wish us luck.
On a long weekend in St Ives. We have just completed a 7 mile walk and now we want a Sunday roast!! Not been here since lockdown but it hasn't changed. The carvery was excellent with a choice of beef, turkey or pork. Plenty of vegetables to choose from and you couldn't fault it. We had pork and the crackling was to die for. Good service from the girls and the chefs. Its a big pub ,not particularly celubrious....could do with some TLC...
So much nicer than Premier Inn! Only stayed for one night but the room had everything needed and a comfortable bed. Evening meal of fish and chips was delicious and the full English breakfast was extremely tasty. Coming back in April for a couple of nights, would thoroughly recommend
If you are looking for great food and service The Badger Inn is definitely the place to go, It would be impossible to leave hungry as the portions are very generous and delicious. Thanks to a great team at the BadgerService: 5/5
Bloody expensive is all I can say. One pint of tribute and 4 cans of coke cost me £17.30. Needless to say, I didn't stay for another round and I was made to feel like a liar about my card which declined 5 times due to them having a faulty machine as soon as they got another machine, hey presto, my card worked perfectly first time All in all, not a pub I shall be returning to
BEWARE!!! Got a parking charge of £100 in the post a week after having a meal at the Badger inn. Nothing was mentioned about this by the staff. Upon calling they said that we should have read the sign at the door, not really your first priority when entering a pub!! The food however was good, I would recommend it, but be very careful that you go through whatever procedure it is that you’re supposed to do. Talk about a vibe-killer!
We enjoyed a lovely late lunch here after a busy morning in St Ives. The food was fresh and the portions were huge, great value for money! Really friendly staff too. Would highly recommend :Service: 5/5
