If you like a Sunday Roast then go here. It’s nice & welcoming inside too. Can honestly say 10/10 best pub roast I’ve had & I’ve had a few ! Lovely soft beef, loads of veggies & fairly good value too at £14ish esp compared to many I’ve visited at above that price. Bit of an uphill slog from St.Ives to Carbis Bay but there are frequent buses up the long hill & is worth the trip ! Would definitely recommend & so would our Labrador as she was welcome inside with us too & was even given doggie treats by the staff Parking: Off road parking in street beside the pub
Still a great friendly pub. Standard prices. Have fond memories of quiz night. Big screen up at the moment for the world cup matches.Food: 5/5
Very characterful pub on outskirts of St Ives. Pleasant interior and decor and good menu, although I was not dining on this occasion. As a CAMRA junkie glad to find a couple of interesting, well-kept brews on offer. Recommended.Service: 5/5
It was a dull evening, although our B&B was super its 20 mins walk to St Ives, and we just wanted a local close by. This pub is certainly that. Unfortunately, it was fully booked for a meal but nevertheless we stayed for a few drinks and snacks. Friendly staff, well policed for social distancing and a good atmosphere. Lots of grub coming out and it looked good. Colin, co owner, was making mean Aperol Spritz despite never having previously made them! Good selection of beers and lagers....
Had Sunday lunch and Valentines dinner both were fab and we would definitely recommend, happy for the teenager to be with us till late. A lovely atmosphere and great food what more could you ask for!

We have been to St Ives several times and driven, and even walked. past. Something didn't 'grab us' to go in. However, one Sunday in October, we really wanted a roast for dinner. Strange times, as the area can't get staff, and so our initial ideas had limited space/fully booked, or didn't serve roast after ~5pm. The Cornish Arms only serve roast on a Sunday, with two sittings, the last taking orders until 19:30 ... perfect. Not sureI would really call it a gastro pub. The breaded mushrooms were quite solid and couldn't be cut with a knife but if a problem, as the inside can be scalding hot. That said, the beef was very good. One of the best I have had, but not quite the gastro standard I have had elsewhere. My wife said the Turkey was a bit dry, but I tried some and thought it was fine ... nature of the .. bird. Good portions and very tasty, also good selection of beers and gins. Definitely come back on another visit.
