The Badger has always been a favourite of ours and it was nice to be able to return to it on our recent visit from Spain. The building itself has a history all of it's own going back several hundred years. A good selection of cask beers, real ales and lagers. Could not believe seeing Estrella Damm on tap here. An excellent Spanish beer! We did not eat on this occasion but we saw plenty of evidence coming from the kitchen to suggest that the food is as good as it always was.
Visited for something to eat, without booking on a busy bank holiday Easter weekend. The staff were accomadating and sat us at a very small table! Great selection of food and drinks, including desserts. There are plenty of spaces to park, and this particular establishment welcomes dogs. Food was very good, bit on the pricey side but I think it's worth it for how tasty the food was and how nice this pub is.
Went there to celebrate mother's day and the mother's day menu was good, the quality of the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Staff were friendly and attentive. Some might say it's abit pricey but you are paying for quality. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
Waitress was very good brought us to the table. Little wait on food but presentation of food and all served hot. Waitresses attended our every need even when she was busy.
Lovely friendly service. Food took 45 mins to arrive after ordering. Can’t cook a steak for love nor money £20!. Asked for medium and it came out still mooing twice!! Think the others in the group had an ‘ok’ experience but overall a bit disappointing.
Took some friends for a meal here no complaints staff were friendly and food was great coke even came in a little glass bottle to pour in glass witch is cool will definitely visit again :

we visited this pub on the occasion of dropping family off at Newcastle airport. Very friendly atmosphere, nice interior. The food was fine.
Lovely Sunday dinner at the Badger. Trio of meat was excellent. Good service, nice traditional setting and dog friendly in the bar.
Service was superb but food wasn't great.
