Good pub grub. Price is decent. We had a bit of a wait for the food. But the atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly. I had the pie. Wife had all day brunch. They have pensioner and kid deals too. I come back home from abroad every few years and always come here with the oldies.
So stupidly spent over a tenner on a selection of food see in the picture that I could have gathered from my freezer at home for a couple of quid, so being honest shame about the massively over priced food, the quality wasn’t great. food didn’t have a massive amount of taste and was so hot it had clearly been microwaved/reheated, i thought it was tasty but after a few bevs I think I’d enjoy anything that was put in front of me…
Pop in for Sunday lunch the service was good the meal came quickly and the food for the most part was very good but the beef was too red for my liking and the broc had been cooked too long was a bit to soft for my liking but for the prices it was very good value
Been here a few times since moving locally and this is the nearest pub. Every time I have been in the staff are always very welcoming, polite and nice. The food, no matter what I've ordered, has always been delicious from the mussels, fish and chips and burgers. Special shoutout to the mussels, coming from a country in which I eat a lot of seafood, these are done just right. Probably one of the best pubs I've ever visited, truly deserving of the full 5 stars. Will be coming in often, that is for sure.
Called for lunch yesterday 12.00. Food great but it was so cold we left our coats & scarfs on. The ice cubes didn't melt, drink was so cold could not drink it. Staff were very friendly and gave great service.
Really nice pub with a great atmosphere. Bar staff are really friendly, especially Alex, super nice and chatty. Never a bad experience.
Plenty of tables so for food or drinks there is plenty of seating, nice selection of drinks and the pool table is free on Monday. Part of the hungry horse chain so check for discounts.
I had a poor experience regarding being misinformed booking xmas dinner on xmas was told to pay a deposit of 10 pounds then the rest on xmas day. I took the curtuis to calling informing them I need more time then changed what they said to now paying the full 250 pounds for a table of 5 which I explain that i was misinformed like many unable to afford this with the cost of living. There was losing my custom.
Lovely pub outside sitting areas are outstanding food good service slow but there was a funeral wake on our visit - recommend for any event or spur of the moment can't wait to visit in the summer
Haven't been at jingling gate for a while . Good service and food then and the same again this time . Great variety of food . Well recommended so come on try this lovely pub out .
