4 of us went for Sunday Lunch/Dinner around 3pm. Friendly staff and a decent range of food choices. Large portions and tasty.nNice little Pub
Decided to arrange a birthday meal for a family friend as a surprise. 20 of us met up and prebooked food and paid deposit. Food was ok. mortified when we got our birthday cake out and they told us they would charge us £80 for eating our cake there!!!! I have never heard of this cakerage fee before. Waitresses were hugely embarrassed but boss would not back down or come out to us. Felt bad for the poor girls serving us. We spent a fair amount on food and drink so this really did spoil what was supposed to be a good night. We ended up going to a local pub up the road afterwards who welcomed us with the cake and didn’t charge us. No wonder some restaurants are struggling. I would never go back there and now understand how the local residents feel about their negative experiences there.
This pub dates back to 1378. It’s a low beamed building so watch your head. Menu was good and food delicious. Staff helpful and friendly. There was a real fireplace burning. It’s a very kids friendly and dog friendly place. Customer car park round the back and beer garden for warmer months.
Came here today for the first time to this lovely pub called the angel inn in Addington Kent.. we had a lovely Sunday beef roast will be coming back .. the chef did a lovely Sunday roast? Thanks
