The Angel Inn

Lovely country pub - nice range of beer. Food today wasn't as good as previously. Lovely home made pie but vegetables looked as if they had been waiting for some time to be put on a plate.

Booked for 2 the day prior then got excited for sharing meal with family for the holiday. So we called later the same night to switch booking for 6 and was told "no problem everything is set." Next day showed up with party of 6 and was very rudely told we have it wrong. Attitude from staff was horrible, not apologetic, and in fact they checked with staff that was on night prior and claimed no adjustment to the booking was made. So our phone record of calling is wrong? Customer is wrong?? We were rudely dealt with and not once given an apology. We were told to come back in two hours. NO THANKS. Why would we want to be further disrespected? Family is left without options as others places are booked now. Other places in this area have way better treatment of customers. Will never come here again and always tell others of this awful experience.

Absolutely shocked and appalled by how we were treated when we arrived to our booking. They had no record of our booking and the person I spoke to on the phone to make the booking said they had no recollection of the call made only the night before. No apologies from anybody. Walked straight out.

A lovely little find after trying to find a table in West Malling. Great service - real family feel about the place that seems genuine and matched by REALLY nice food and a decent selection of ales. We will definitely be back! The lamb burger was absolutely perfect... Although not sure what the beetroot bun was all about 😂

Superb place for a quiet romantic evening with lovely food and good portion size. Staff are very nice indeed. Look forward to going again soon.
