Story

The Angel is a fantastic warm hearted bar for the people of Exeter and beyond. It is independent and takes pride in making a real bar for real people. We are all about promoting great quality in everything that we do and giving back to the customer. The staff are a friendly fun bunch who will make you most welcome and will be probably be having more fun than the customers!

We host a free wi-fi network so it is ideal for business, students or just Facebook addicts

Like smoking? We host a delightful back deck with a big screen projector showing old school surf, snowboard, skate, nature and bizarre visuals.

We have an awesome in-house sound system thanks to our friends at B&W speakers. During the day it’s jazzy, reggae, acoustic and getting more vibrant in the evenings with funk, soul, hip-hop. Thurs - Saturdays host resident Dj's and guests from all over the world playing what we believe to be the best underground music in the south west.

Best of the rest – Open roaring fire, comfy sofas, fresh flowers, daily newspapers, hot chocolate with marshmallows, delicious Luscombe organic fruit juices, Bob the dog, T.V fish tank and most important of all our slightly quirky but very friendly locals and all the rest of the Angel tribe that make this place home.

So there you have it, a proper good local bar in the heart of the City keeping it real and raising the flag for Devon!
