Absolutely brilliant in every way. Staff are extremely helpful and really go out of their way. The food is delicious. Everything really is cooked from fresh. I have food allergies and they created a menu just for me. I cannot praise them enough.

We spent just 1 night here. It was lovely from the moment we set foot on the building. Staff were attentive and always ready to answer my queries. We ate in the resteraunt and the food was beautiful and again cannot fault the staff. Clean, warm room with nice big towels. Will not hesitate to book again.

The food was delicious but the wait times were a little long and it was quite pricey. The plates that were given for our starter didn't seem to be cleaned properly but the waiter quickly managed to send us a replacement. Overall, great food but beware of high prices when ordering.

This is my third visit to The Angel At Topcliffe so that in it's self tells a story, this is a first class hotel very clean and comfortable. The staff are very polite and friendly and you feel welcome and at home the moment you check in. The restaurant is also excellent and breakfast is very good its location is ideal for exploring the attractions of York approx 22 miles away and other areas of Yorkshire. The price is not cheap but it is not over priced this is not a Premier Inn it is worthy of its good ratings, and a very nice place to come for a special occasion. There is however one thing that baffles me and it is not common just to this hotel. As a trained risk assessor why when you have a bathroom this size do the place the toilet against the wall so you can not use it in comfort and also place a very hot towel rail right at the side of it so you risk the possibility of a very nasty burn. Its not hard to see that simply changing the position of the toilet and wash hand basin removes this problem. This will not stop me coming again but is something to think about if you have elderly or children in your path. All in all a very good hotel and I am sure I will be back

We visit here at least once a month we go walking in the area. We found this place by looking for places to eat on Google maps. Best place for Sunday lunch. We have been coming here for about 2 years now it's beautifully cooked top quality Meat and Vegetables.
