This was my first visit to this pub. The decor was nice, I would say it’s geared more towards the female taste though, not like traditional pubs. We ate on the evening I went, I had one of the burger options. The food wasn’t great in my opinion, however, that could be because I’ve been spoiled with burgers in the past, having had some amazing ones (I live in Texas, USA where there are some great burger bars).

we went for sunday dinner today for my sons birthday.i had the beef,and all i can say is wow.it was my first visit and hopefully it is the same next time i go.food was hot,veg was perfectly cooked,same as the beef and the best thing for me was the gravy.gorgeous.would of spooned the extra out of serving dish if no one was looking.looks oldy worldy from outside but bright and modern on the inside.Will definetly be going again.

Very disappointed walked 3 miles with my friends and dog. Was not allowed in even though pub was empty with dog. Very unfriendly especially for pub called Dog and Gun you need to drop the Dog in your name. Went to Vale of York warm dog friendly and food and drink5 star.

The staff were all really friendly and there was a really warm atmosphere which made it a lovely experience. The food was delicious, my only criticism would be is the inordinate amount of small dishes to keep my peas away from the rest of my food etc. Please, just put my food on the plate.

Food was really well priced and the staff were really pleasant and welcoming, if I'm ever around them parts again I would definitely make another visit
