We visited on a Saturday afternoon whilst meeting family from London. It was very busy. The staff handled our order quickly and without fuss even with the line of people waiting patiently behind us. Very good service, food was lovely. Great place to visit, especially with the world famous Abbey grounds watching over you from only feet away! Give it a go. You won't be disappointed. And if it's on a Saturday afternoon during the football season, you can even sit outside and watch a match on the field next door! Enjoy!!

The Anchor has undergone a refurbishment. To staff. Food and building. Its now worth once more going for a meal and or drink. Nice to see a venue turn itself around. Credit to the staff

The Inn has had a face lift but still serves quality food, with attentive service from friendly staff.

What a cute little place with AMAZING views of the Tintern Abbey just across the grounds! I have no idea how old the building is, but I took a sneak peek around the back and even the restaurant looks like it's living inside ruins! It felt almost movie like eating dinner inside a building that you see in movies. Very rustic, wood beam ceilings, cement and stone walls. Beautiful place. If you are vising the area or the Abbey, stop in and have a pint and some food. The burgers are delicious :)

Sunday roast was delicious, best I've had for a long time, roast potatoes fab, veg cooked just right and lots of it, beef nice and tender, staff friendly, considering how busy it was it was a good experience.
