Booked a last minute two night stay with the family at the Carpenters. Stayed in the first floor Ash cottage next door to the pub. The accommodation was perfect. Modern, extremely well equipped (they seem to have thought of everything) clean and comfortable. The beds were great with clean crisp sheets. We ate both nights in the pub where John & Joy were the perfect hosts. Make sure to book a table as they get very busy. Not suprised as the food is excellent. A great and varied menu cooked to perfection. Large portions and all locally sourced. 5 Stars!!

Best pub in Monmouthshire. Friendly owners, always feel welcome. Good beers and consistently excellent food.
