So far my first few days of Welsh food was disappointing so decided to try Italian. The pizza was thin and nice and the pasta was flavourful!nJust very grateful we finally found a place that’s flavourful than pub food nReasonable price as well
You’ll need to reserve a table, being the only good Italian restaurant in the area. I would have preferred a bit more whitebait for my starters but the rest of the meal was good. Service was nice and the prices were reasonable.
This is the third time we have eaten here. We ate here with our adult family. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food was superb, full of flavour and a varied menu. All of the family commented on how good the experience was. Having read reviews and noted the young male waiter was good we endorse the comment as well.nWell done.
La Piccola Italia is a must-visit if you're in Monmouth. I've been to a few Italian places in the Monmouthshire area and have not been that impressed so far with both price and quality but La Piccola Italia puts the rest of them to absolute shame.nnIn terms of atmosphere, it is definitely a cozy spot. The restaurant is not massive but it is well decorated and is a very intimate setting. You might find it difficult with a large group here as it would be a tight squeeze.nnThe customer service was fantastic. Our wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We could not fault the staff whatsoever.nnFood-wise is where La Piccola Italia shines. Nearly everything we ordered was fantastic, including a lovely selection of starters. I particularly recommend the Salmone Ripieno if you're a fan of smoked salmon like me.nnThe only thing I would say is that I would skip the Antipasti board next time I visit. Even though it was tasty, the selection did not have as much variety as I had hoped.nnHowever, after 2 visits and different choices both times, it doesn't seem like the kitchen staff can put a foot wrong. If you enjoy Italian food or even food in general, I highly recommend La Piccola Italia.
Delicious authentic Italian food, the service is amazing, attentive, polite, friendly. Very popular, you need to book, and turn up!!nThe best place to eat within a good 10 mile radius.nThank you all!
