We're visiting Corbridge for a week. We ordered 5 main meals which were ready for us when we arrived as promised. Every meal was exceptional. I haven't had so much chicken in a Chowmein for years from other takeaways. Portion sizes were generous and the noodles had a lovely smokey flavour, I could go on with the compliments. 5 star plus!
Over priced and not even very nice.nnFirst, the price. Wow! £11.80 for salt & chilli chicken with fried rice. The same meal I always oerder from my local takeaway just down the Tyne Valley where it only costs £7.20.nnChicken was tough, way too salty and it was all soggy. Its a meal that's supposed to be dry and crispy.nnAsked for extra chilli, was still rather mild so without asking, it must be pathetically bland.nnFried rice was also really salty.nnGiving the food 2 stars as its not the worst I've had and the portion was decent but really, the price isn't reflective of the quality, only the location.
Been here a number of times when visiting my family. The food is always prepared quickly, the menu is extensive and never had a bad meal here
Very good English style Chinese takeaway. Lots of choice, freshly cooked, Hong Konger owners. Taste is good and similar to HK CCT and HK this this rice style places.
Really disappointed, food was bellow the standard we expected for a Chinese, for example batter was soft, chewy and tasted raw. Extremely salty and sweet and sour sauce was more sweet than sour, the samosas, spring roles and prawn toast were nice, however we still had do abandon over half our plates due to the quality of the food. The food was very pricey for what it was, cant fault portion sizes though. Could have been a bad one-off experience since other reviews are genuinely quite good, however we will not be going back.
