Location couldn't be better - right in the middle of Corbridge. An old pub but really well appointed - beautiful inside without losing any of its character. We had one night's stay. The room was clean, modern and the bed very comfortable. We had our evening meal in the restaurant and the food was excellent.
We had a lovely lunch at the Golden Lion. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was prompt and efficient. The staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pub has a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed lunch.
My Mam and I recently stayed here as we were collecting my wedding dress from the area. The team were absolutely wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you. Everyone was so lovely, friendly and welcoming! The rooms were very clean, modern and had the softest, freshest sheets I have ever slept in.
We visited 3 nights for food and drink during our 4 night stay in Corbridge. So impressed really good food, loved the liver, and good beers. Most of all it was the friendly welcome of all the staff which we will remember. Many thx hope to see you again. XxnClive and Monica
A fantastic pub right in the centre of a picturesque village - Corbridge. Staff were very attentive and friendly and within minutes we had drinks already ordered.nnWe had a 3 course Sunday lunch and it was all beautifully cooked, piping hot and efficiently served. Great portion sizes and in fact some of the extra roasties we ordered ended up being wrapped in foil for us to take home! 3 x alcoholic drinks, 2 starters, 2 mains and 1 dessert and the bill was just under £100 without tip which was good value given the quantity and quality of the food.nnHighly recommend a visit, service and food both excellent!
