A nice cozy Inn with open fires and friendly staff selling traditional ales and good food including snacks and sandwiches as well as main meals. It is a very popular stop for hikers walking along Hadrians Wall.

Great place to stop at and have a meal/drink in the country. Popular with motorcycles but not over powering where you can't get into the car park etc. Food was great and prices were very reasonable. Staff were friendly and place was clean.

Been a few times always had lovely lunchies and it's a lovely cosy atmosphere
