The advisory came too late for me. Having promised faithfully that they would not drop their offer at the last minute as they were 'helping to clean up the image of these companies' house buy fast then proceeded to do exactly that. I wish that i had seen your wise words before I found the weasel words of hbf.
Very early in the process but I have been very grateful to this site for warning me about the pitfalls involved in selling my property to a company for cash for a quick sale. I have yet to decide to go down this route but I feel better informed now and with actual companies recommended, it seems a much more comfortable option now.

I have been considering using a quick sale company for some time as it sounded such an easy option but couldn't decide which one. After finding TheAdvisory accidentally, I have decided to go the normal route with estate agents. Clear, concise and very helpful rating system for all these companies, who definitely are not interested in helping anyone but themselves with one or two honest and trustworthy exceptions. Don't do it without checking this amazing free service first, you'll be so glad you did!
Great advice from Gavin and the Advisory Service it is just what i needed to navigate through the good and bad of the online home buyers market. I will post again if i am able to proceed with the recommended buyers i have been presented with or to comment on their suitability.
