We came across Martello Hall on a stroll down Mare St. It was nice and inviting and the drinks were decent. The only problem was the sound system. It was of a poor quality, the music was brilliant and really well selected, but it was distorted and we could hardly hear it when the bar got busier and it spoiled our experience. If the system was sorted, I would return in a heartbeat and bring more friends. It would be a cool hangout on a weekend.
We absolutely love Martello Hall! We have a weekly ritual of going there every Monday for pizza after our kids swimming lessons. The pizza is really incredible and all of the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
I stumbled upon this pub by chance while my colleagues and I were searching for a place to enjoy mocktails at lunchtime. One of my colleagues noticed the rooftop terrace, and we decided to give it a try. I don't usually write positive reviews, but the exceptional service we received compelled me to share my experience. My colleague and I sat on the roof terrace, and the bar staff repeatedly made their way upstairs to take our drink and food orders and then deliver them. Despite the extra effort, he was unfailingly nice, friendly, and hospitable. When one of our orders arrived very late, the staff member didn't charge us for it and even split the bill correctly to make it easier for us to pay. His customer service was outstanding.The passionafruit mocktail was amazing with real passionfruit juice and fruit.

The rustic vibe of the building is very nice. The floor staff is kind of a disappointment, but it is quickly overshadowed by the exceptional bar staff. Specifically to mention Harrison, Nikhil and the other girl, were very nice and funny. The drinks were really nice and they also gave some good suggestions. I add this to my regular places to visit. Definitely check out.
Celebrated my fiancés 30th birthday here on Saturday. Great vibe and the food and drinks were all top notch. We booked the private terrace upstairs where we were hosted by Darren who did a mega job of making sure we were looked after. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
Hosted a private event at Martello Hall and had the best experience. The atmosphere was great and they served great food and drinks for a reasonable price. All our guest had a great time and great things to say about the venue. Will be hosting more events here in the future and cant recommend enough. Also thank you to Ashley and our great bar tenders for being so great and accommodating.
Martello Hall on Mare Street. A bit of a gem. The house lager is lovely, served with a laugh and a smile by the excellent barman guiding the ship on my visit. The place is geared to the Saturday bottomless brunch but appears welcoming to everyone. Not the place for lovers of real ales as there are none as far as I could see!. Everything else is spot on though wonderful service and a jolly clientele. A delightful place. Just explored a bit more, for a workout, visit the toilets - on the second floor. Great restaurant area at the rear. The place looks beautiful+ the most helpful excellent staff to help
This place is a must for birthday brunches! Martella Hall delivers exactly what you'd hope for. The drinks kept flowing, bottles aplenty, and the food hit the spot. Our friend's bottomless brunch here was an absolute blast. Despite some of us being a bit worse for wear, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Plus, parking was a breeze! I found a spot right next to the venue even during peak hours.
Needed a venue for my 30th birthday and everyone was so accommodating at last minute. Was the perfect venue with amazing food and a vibrant atmosphere! I had the perfect birthdayFood: 5/5
