No frills, simple Chinese food takeaway that is authentic and very satisfying. Most importantly, extremely affordable! Let’s address the 1 star for atmosphere. Don’t expect anything here. It’s really a takeaway place. Order, grab your food and get out. There is NO dine in. Now to the food. It is really authentic Chinese stir fry. The restaurant is run by a Chinese couple and their young son. Dad and Mom are the chefs and the son takes and dispatch orders. Everything is cooked with only the wok and the “wok hei” is in every one of their dishes. Boil some rice at home. Give them a call to place your order, hop on over, grab your piping hot stir fried dishes and get back home and have it with your freshly cooked fluffy rice. Warms the soul, satisfy your tummy, impress your guests without burning a hole in your pocket. My go to dishes are usually the pork and beef but honestly every dish on the menu will be good. Experiment, try, pair it with noodles or rice. You won’t regret it! Dietary restrictions: Make sure you specify your dietary restrictions before ordering.
This is a great takeaway and the food is fantastic, the standard is always high. A great gem In this area and a must for anyone living around, or coming though, to to try out. All the menu is good but my personal favourite is the fried chilli squid, sweet and sour chicken, fried noodles with prawn. Be warned the portions are monstrous!
Can’t believe it I’ve been using this take away now for a while. But no more. Just ordered a meal in for me and the wife. My meal chicken & chilli in black bean sauce + Singapore noodles. If I was to say sweet that’s an understatement. If I carried on eating it I’d have to take insulin to combat the sugar. Time to change it up and find a new take away.
Amazing little take away. It’s cheap, it’s good, great quantity, cooked from fresh on demand you can see the kitchen and the chef cooking in large wok like back home. The lady is smiling and very friendly. I just moved to the area and it has become my favourite spot for a honest meal. This meal option is much cheaper, convenient and tastes better than any quick meal you’ll find in supermarket. Plus you’ll be helping a long time member of the community. Strongly recommend. I have been eating from this takeaway since 1995! I discovered them when I worked in Bermondsey and even after I left that job, I travelled back to get food from them. All these years later, although I don’t get there often, I travel from Kent for their food. They still remember me which is awesome. These are the sweetest people who make food that is cooked with love. I love this place and will continue to say that they are the best Chinese takeaway in London. Great value for money too by the way. Their rice dishes are so good!
Tried this Chinese for a change of my usual and was very pleasantly surprised . The food was delicious , rice and curry sauce especially unique from other local Chinese restaurants , curry sauce had a spicy taste to it which I loved . I’d defiantly be going back again only downfall is its extremely busy and they only take cash with no cash point in the area unless you are happy to withdraw and pay for the privilege in the local shop . Be great if it was on just Eat but I guess they have a great set up already with enough customers to thrive . The downfall was the guy serving was always at the back and you’d. Have to wait a long time just to be attended too . If they hired a permanent petson on the front while the chefs do their magic I couldn’t fault it , but I guess local small run businesses need to save money so fair enough . Keep up the good work with the food this is why I’d be back despite the long wait to get served and then wait for the food
Was awful! There's a reason they call it fried noodle with chicken coz it's just full of oil so much so was literally dripping was inedible. Everything was super greasy and had no flavour. Spring roll had no meat in them just full of some type of noodle maybe rice noodle nothing ive ever seen before in a spring roll. One of the worst Chinese meals I've ever had and it took almost 30mins to come out. Will never eat there again.
The new decor changed the vibe of the place... Visited recently and was informed the old owner left the business, wish him prosperity and all the best! I used to come here everyday during a certain period and it was always nice to chat with him.Food: 3/5
