Nice store but probably the most disgusting toilets I've come across and I've just driven the A1 and it's service stations, were luxurious in comparison. In the Men's - two out of three urinals were blocked off, two out of three hand washing stations were out of order and the two cubicles were pretty gross. Women's were equally vile according to my wife. Right next to Costas too. Nice.
Usually a fan of Tesco and we use our local one but I have to say after getting caught out here when doing a drop off / brief catch up with family on long distance journey to meet halfway we both received a ticket from Horizon who Tesco employ to control their car park. Having driven in to find the petrol station closed at 20:20 we waited for our family to arrive in the first space in the carpark. We never considered looking up at the unlit signs about 14ft high that state there is a limit on parking outside the store hours nor did we know the shop hours. Safe to say we will be giving our business to other supermarkets for a while.
I’m used to being asked for ID when buying an energy drink. But a supposed rule of requiring anyone who comes in the shop with you to provide ID as-well was imposed after showing my ID. Me being 22 and proving my identity and then having to watch my girlfriend 21 be asked to provide her ID as-well seems like borderline age discrimination to me as I would like to see if that policy would be initiated if a parent comes in with their child. You going to ask the baby for ID? nothing personal against this specific Tesco but think it’s pretty fair to say this policy is rather ludicrous given it’s a self imposed limitation of sale and their is no legislation on restricting the sale of energy drinks enforced by the government I would like for Tesco to reach out and clarify if they actually have a policy of needing more than one ID in specific cases and what judgement is used to decide whether or not to ID other people in the shop with you or if it is just down to personal biases
Pamela at Bury St Edmund’s saved my daughter from being scammed out of £500. 2 days before Christmas. We have no words. We can’t thank you enough. Pamela you’ve saved Christmas. Thank you so mu ch.
I don't usally use this store and I can see why. My main problem was at the checkouts I had a large trolly so had to wait for one of the two people serving. As I approached the till there was already three people in front of me and I couldn't see the end of the other tills queue. So waited. The man running the tills could see the problem but did nothing except look at the other way. There was an additional two members of staff just chatting in front of the tills also seeing the problem. The till staff were exceptionally slow at serving customers which made the matter worse. I waited nearly 15 mins to be served by this time they were at least another three people behind me and various people walking in front of the tills in anticipation of other tills opening. It took the Security Guard to come down to the tills obviously he thought there was something going on before action was taken to do a multi skilled call, they had to do this twice before one person turned up. I walked over to the till that was about to be opened up only to be pushed out of the way by another customer and was hit by their trolley. I decided to stay in the queue I was in. More multi skilled staff eventually turned up but by this time the problem was resolving it's self. Awful experience I won't shop here again. WHAT HAPPEN TO ONE IN FRONT???n29.10.25 @ 11am
