Warning. If the Tesco Car Park is full, or even if it is not DO NOT PARK IN THE ROAD OPPOSITE by the derelict hospital building, because you are likely to not notice or misread the poor NPM signage. This is a PRIVATE ROAD, NO PARKING, WITH A £100 PARKING CHARGE. Loads of shoppers are unaware, park here and get tickets. Tesco can do nothing about this as it is Private. The store & management are fine, but I can only give 3 stars whilst there is this unfair parking situation. I want as many people to be aware, because one of my family members was unaware and received a ticket for parking in the road for no more than 10 minutes! Warn your family and friends.

Tesco express is in town center of Northampton. When all shops shut by 5pm.. this is only shop close by open till late hours and all things from grocery house hold items, fresh breads varieties, muffins ,fruits ,vegetables, meat , milk all under one roof and self billing counters are available without wait in queue can do it our self.

After finally parking in the (it really isn't a free) car park full of rubbish filled cages and trays, the shopping experience took forever with just one person on the till. The self service tills were supposedly installed to make it a quicker shop!

Nice size, open late with a great selection. Decent size carpark too. Very convenient.

Average for a tesco express. Not a large range and sometimes disorganised (fridges left open, stock trolleys left blocking aisles). Staff are friendly enough but when stocking up they tend to chat to each other leaving stock and themselves blocking customer trying to shop.
