A decent store with plenty of aisles which stock most of what you will need. The queues for the tills can be a bit slow if you arrive at a busy period.
After my big shop, Paul & Travis at the fruit & veg helped me carry some recycled boxes to my car as moving house. Very helpful and friendly. Also Nick in the non-food went to trouble to find me some too. Makes me want to continue to shop here with such pleasant staff! Thank - you Tesco
Been in store today! What a lovely young lady Kelly She was on the bread section she helped me out with my shopping, I’m sure she said her son works here and husband how lovely she was very kind and shown me how to sign up to Tesco Clubcard, as I’m not very good with Technology. Thank you
Only one or two cash tills. Signs need to be placed at eye level for card only tills. Not sure why they dont take cash or card. Need to man the tills more aswel. Other than that the store is good
It's not 'Extra' as it sells nothing you won't find in a standard Tesco. They're just smaller satellite shops that try to push out smaller convenience stores. They don't have the facilities of Tesco superstores like toilets, cafe, clothing, house wares, electrical etc etc.... But handy for basic needs instead of going on a main shopping outing.

Went to the store today at self checkout Wish I hadn’t bothered as the machine wouldn’t accept I had an item of shopping in bag then had to wait for staff member to swipe her card so I could carry on again wouldn’t work I noticed other people having problems there was a gentleman member of staff there he spoke rudely to a few people never again will set foot in Widnes Tesco again totally disorganised chaos feel for the people who have no choice to shop there.
I know this is a chain supermarket and usually offers great competitive prices and service all over the country however this one in particular is absolutely disgraceful and should be avoided at all costs. I am clearly very visibly pregnant and when asked which direction the toilets are as I had never been before and do not know the whereabouts of places, I got COMPLETELY IGNORED by a member of staff as he just rolled his eyes and walked off. Now I am NOT THE ONE TO BLAME for your bad pay or you having a bad day really really dissapointed and even when I went to check out I got several dirty looks by the customers and workers. I wish this was a exaggeration but it is NOT and I would recommend to stay away from here!!!! 1/10
Absolutely disgraceful shopping experience today. Come here all the time and today when I picked up a container of protein powder which was marked on the shelf at £5.65 I get to the till and it scans at £10. The lady who went to check then took 12 minutes to go and check the shelf edge label, and came back saying she still doesn't know how much it is - surely if the staff don't even know, how are the customers meant to know!. A blonde gentleman who I can only assume is a supervisor of some sort no idea how then went to check and at this point I'd been stood there nearly 15 minutes and came back and said it was a different version of the product that was £5.65. This was not clearly marked on the shelf and all of the containers were in front of the lower priced label. He then refused to honour the lower price. I then gave back the rest of my shopping as I no longer wanted it after the way I had been treated and the supervisor then went 'whatever!'. Disgusting attitude towards customers and a horrible embarrassing shopping experience and complete and utter waste of my time. I will never be back.
Don't recommend parking your car underneath. And do now feel like I can walk around the shop because staff either block me or startle me by running and cutting me up. I'm struggling whilst sweating because sometimes it's hard to walk and then dealing with this. So much for disability awareness. Don't think I should wear a Sunflower lanyard as they seem to know I have hidden disabilities and take every opportunity to cause me distress. I experience this happen too often and I feel harassed and stress just for shopping in a supermarket. Really! Must people like me not be seen in shops OR dare to venture out. The shames on them, not me.
