Came here for dinner with my mum dad and brother. First time I've been to this branch. It is such a nice restaurant. Service was excellent. The food, now that's another thing. Usually I stick to my standard chicken madras, this time we all had completely different dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious. Oh and the starters, oh my goodness, seriously impressed. Thank you for such a brilliant evening Sasa.
EXCELLENT Tried this restaurant a few months ago as our regular Indian wasn't open and we were starving. We were not disappointed. The food is bloody amazing!!! So much so, this has now become our favourite Indian restaurant! Have been there many times since and have never been disappointed in any way! RECOMMENDED
Visited this place a few times and I can say the service and food was exceptional. I definitely recommend this place if you're after a delicious takeaway or for an elegant dining experience. They will not disappointed you!
Went on NYE. When I booked, I wasn't told it was a set menu. Neither was anyone else around us. The choice was limited. I'm lactose intolerant, which I told them about when I booked, so could only have one dish on offer. Not good enough. Service was abysmal. They had nowhere near enough staff on to service the numbers they had. I couldn't order drinks for the table, because nobody came. I had to go to the bar myself then, at the end, the waiter didn't believe me and tried to charge me for the drinks again. After an hour sat at the table, we'd had one poppadom each, as that's all we were given. Loads of dips, one poppadom each. Only the fact that we still had drinks prevented us from leaving prior to the starters arriving. Starters were simply not big enough for the money charged. I asked for a replacement napkin, but ended up having to get it myself. The real kicker? They added a 10% service charge to the bill. When I said I wasn't paying it, they literally said nothing else to us. I'll not be going back.
Me and my partner booked here for new years eve 2022 what a shambles from start to finish!! After being seated in the waiting nobody took our name, people who hadn't booked got seating in the restaurant before us, after my partner went over to tell them this we finally got seated. We waited ages for a drink, nobody came to take our food order, finally after 1 1/2 hours we got our started!! Even a customer told one of your waiters that we hadn't been seen to yet!! We had our mains and just asked for the bill, we didn't want to wait for dessert set 3 course meal! We understand that it was a busy night but very very poor management!! No organisation what so ever!!! Nobody knew what anyone was doing. We like coming here as we cone often but it really has put us off..
Took the family to this restaurant. Took ages to get our main meal. I had to send my meal back as the chicken was raw he offered to replace the chicken i refused as i didnt want to wait for another hour. He said he would discount my bill. When the bill came he only took £5 off. I told him that was unreasonable he took a further £4 off. Not the whole price of the meal. . I will not be back here. The waiters hover over you and stare its so uncomfortable.
Such a shame!! Have visited here before and food and service was great. Recently rebooked for a special occasion and the whole visited was a shambles. The table wasn't ready and it was obvious that our booking had been overlooked. Instead of apologising and offering some complimentary drinks while they sorted themselves out, they just tried to cram us in. In the end we was waiting 1.5 hours for our food, they messed the order up and left us at varying times without drinks. The waiter was stressed and rude, although he did apologise later into the evening when he calmed down. There was a definite language barrier and the waiter rushed taking our order which is why it was wrong. When the food eventually came it was nice but the 2 English meals on our order were inedible. Understaffed for a Saturday evening and disappointing. We did receive a round of complimentary drinks but only because I complained. Will not be returning.
Wouldn't go there again if I was pay sat waiting for just over a hour for food more interest in takeaways after that wrong food for my husband. place was very cold waiter told me next time sit with the other 3 groups of people two lots that had come in after us and had got there food before us we didn't sit away from every one just on the left as you walk in had to keep my coat on. and the toilets they were not working or in a discussing state and flooded waiter said its not his fault. This place is so bad it should be shut down so sorry the maplewood was so busy be NEXT TIME Mr waiter I'll wait there for a seat I have been here before and no problems gone way down hill .
I really want to love this place being our local Indian but every time it let's me down. The food is more expensive than competitors and despite the restaurant almost always being empty it takes FOREVER to get your food. A sign of it being freshly made? Maybe so, although the use of excessive oil just spoils the curries and overall its poor : you leave feeling like you've consumed your weekly calorie intake
