I visited Towester to have a good look around the town, visited the museum and I walked past the Ten Hands cafè looking at the board and noticed award winning, I turned about and walked in to a pleasant looking Cafè, with great tentative staff who found me a table even it was slightly full. I ordered I think was the signature dish with skin on fries, well the food came on a wooden board that was well presented and brought by a friendly member of staff. The food was delicious and I was making groans to how good it was, that I must of been seen by customers, the food was heaven even the home made dipping sauce was so good. Cakes look so good on show in the front counter glass display. I would highly recommend this place as I could have eaten everything off the menu but I will leave it to another time. Thankyou so much to the young friendly staff and the chef that cooked the amazing food. Don't pass through Towester without going to this wonderful place. I give a Ten Hands out of ten.
Lovely little cafe, I really wasn't expecting this quality of food! Service was great, it was quite loud but that's only because it was full with lots of people chatting and laughing - not much to be done about people enjoying themselves. I'm looking forward to another visit.Food: 5/5
Popped in for breakfast, by far one of the best I've ever had, food was amazing. Staff super friendly, prompt service. Top tip, book a table .Food: 5/5
First time here and completely blown away. Chilled staff not pressuring you, perfectly cooked, top quality food served swiftly with a smile. You honestly can't ask for more. Every credit to you all. Highly recommend and will visit again soon Food: 5/5
When cafes reach this level of maturity, it's the little things that make a huge difference. The difference, in this case was the front of house staff member. What a bright, warm, happy personality. The type of person that would bring a smile to your face if you'd just arrived having had the worst day of your life up until that point. I love the decor. It's bright and colourful inside. Bright and breezy outside. The food is contemporary and tasty. It looks lovely. It was great to see Ten Hands Cafe Bar serving coffee roasted just up the road. A local informed me that the coffee is prepared by Leeds Roastery North Star. To avoid disappointment, make sure you book a table. They are quick at responding to messages.
Lovely place to grab a bite to eat. They are award winning and you will see why after a visit. Everything is done very well, they care about the quality of the food and not just making a quick profit. The food was exceptional so I definitely see why they got awards. The drinks were perfect too. Can't wait to visit here again
The food and cakes are amazing. It can get a bit loud in the cafe just because of how busy it gets. This can also impact on how quickly the drinks are served. However, the staff are really friendly and accommodating.Food: 5/5
I recently visited this restaurant, drawn in by its award-winning reputation. However, the overall experience left me somewhat perplexed as to how it had achieved such accolades. The food was average, neither impressing nor disappointing. It was standard fare, nothing that would make me rush back for a second helping. However, the service was where the experience truly faltered. The staff seemed a little disorganised and scattered, we had to repeatedly ask for cutlery. Moreover, the confusion extended to the bill, why paying they gave us the wrong table, there are better systems for this such as assigning a number to each other.
We were really looking forward to our visit to 10 hands for my mothers birthday but unfortunately there were a number of problems. We turned up, after booking and paying a deposit for a table for 7 people 5 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby in the pram to be seated at a 4 person table. The staff told us that this was a new policy of the management that any 6 person bookings were allocated a table for 4. The staff on shift were helpful in trying to source a bigger table for us to all sit, this took a while at least 10 minutes. Finally seated on a 6 person table we were given menus but out order was not taken for at least another 20 minutes we had to eventually ask. The staff were very busy as the resturant was clearly overbooked. One of our party ordered a dish but asked for different bread. Finally ordered, our food arrived and was OK, not worth the wait and hassle so far but we got on with it. One order was totally incorrect but we just got on and wanted to leave. Finally coming around to pay the bill was mad! The person who had a dish with different bread was charged for a totally different meal with extras like 'extra cheese' and ' extra maple syrup', added on separately he didn't even have any maple syrup! this made his total around £20 for a plate of avocado, salsa, bread and jalapeños. A totally vegetarian dish. When we queried the bill we were told that the staff had no control and that it was all decided by 'upstairs' so they had to ask 'upstairs' to change it. Eventually this was resolved and we finally paid and the bar and left! I had brought cake and candles for my mum but we just wanted to get out so left before doing this. I had thought booking ahead and paying a desosit would avoid any issues on the day but honestly this was not a fun experience in the slightest and I wouldnt be back or recommend sadly. The staff were polite and tried to be helpful but it appeared they had no power or flexibility, always saying they had to check with 'upstairs'.
Delicious food and drinks, all served quickly and with a smile. Had the full English and latte, highly recommended. Knife was a weird shape if you know you know but disnt detract from a great brunch! Returning customer, and would defo go again
