Welcome to the Bull at Towcester

Story

Our friendly pub and restaurant at the heart of Towcester is open all day, seven days a week, & is dedicated to providing our guests with great quality food and drink. All of this provided in an informal setting in this traditional pub, located in the heart of Towcester. The bar features all the usual favourites and a substantial wine list, with at least twelve wines available by the glass. Our food is a mix of pub favourites and A la carte dining with medditeranean influences. We serve food throughout the day in the restaurant, bar and garden - if the weathers fine! Booking is recommended at busy times

We attended for a family meal for 6. The pub has a nice feel to it, however there was only one staff member covering all of the restaurant area. I had the surf and turf and was expecting more prawns to be honest. I am not sure whether the chef is a bit liberal with the salt and pepper (most of our meals seemed over seasoned) or it is a genuine ploy to get customers to buy more drinks. The steak was cooked nicely but taking the prices into account as well I would think twice before booking another meal here.

Great traditional pub with top class restaurant. Nice selection of beers!! The pub is clean, great atmosphere and a characterful barman. Give it a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Held a birthday lunch here in the back room with a set menu (£20.00 for three courses). The food and the service was excellent and the room comfortably held 21. Did our own decoration and brought our own music - nothing seemed to be a problem for the venue. The bar was very quiet but then it was lunchtime and on into the afternoon. Really enjoyed this pub and would certainly go back. Also has a very nice garden area at the back - pity it rained all afternoon!

My food was OK. My vegetarian friend who ordered bean burger was served a beef burger. To be fair the one mouthful she did eat almost turned her back into a meat eater, she said it tasted lovely.
