We popped into 185 for a round of drinks at the end if a great evening out in Towcester. As a group of ten I started ordering the round and was met with an eye rolling barman that wasnt happy I couldn't real off the ten drinks in one go. When all for drinks had been ordered he bluntly just said the total price. I pointed out it would be nice to say please when asking for money. He simply replied saying "I don't have to". After some back and forth "it would be nice to say please/I don't need to " I asked to speak to the manager. The manager to my surprise said the barman was correct and didnt need to say please. Well, I don't need to drink in 185. My friends don't need to either. I don't need to tell all my friends how appalling the staff at 185 are, but I will. I would suggest anyone looking for a great bar with fantastic service visit The Mill across the road. We did and it's brilliant.

Nice place to drink & eat in Towcester. The staff was very friendly. Wide range of beers available. There is a very nice backyard. Prices rather expensive.

One of the rare locations in this part of the country with good home made food. However the service was shockingly poor with the waitress forgetting our orders several times and looking like she would have rather been anywhere else than there. Let's hope we will be luckier next time.

Breakfast for 12 on a busy Saturday morning. Fantastic period room, delicious food with plenty of options for the teenagers. Cocktails are also delicious. No hesitation recommending this Northamptonshire gem

I was really disappointed on this visit. We had tea and cake as a family with young children but the room stunk like a dead animal and yes, there was a dead thing. The reason as we discovered too late, high up on the wall we're two dead pheasants hanging! It was discusting. 3 of us were affected quite badly by the smell so won't be going there again for awhile!!! Yuck.
