Went into this store today, met Akexis. Explained we were after a free view antenna. he quickly establish where it would be used in relation to the transmitter and guided us to the correct bit of kit. He also should is a deal for Sky triple , exposing the advantages of the offer. What should be noted was that there was no pressure sales, just a very competent explanation. We also spoke to Ashley who was equally knowledgeable and helpful. The antenna worked perfectly! Thanks Alexis , a real credit . If you are going to this store ask for this guy by name !
I quite like this store. They seem to be more accommodating than most. They will send an email if an item is out of stock, to let you know if it comes in. They will remove old item and dispose of them responsibly, £20. and they are mostly friendly. Currently they have a very good range of products to choose from.
I had great hopes for this store, been coming to curry's for years. I went to purchase a TV ..I have done my research took a screenshot of the one I wanted, and i waited about 10 minutes to be seen, which was fine. I was allocated a young man looks like he knew what he was talking about. I showed him the screenshot... ah yes madam we have it in stock! Great I said! Bang tidy! He said he would get it after I paid. So it came to the payment part for me to stick my card in the machine. I noticed the price was different and the TV was different!! I said to him I thought you said you the TV I wanted in stock... he said it was last years, I said I wanted last years. Basically, he tried to sell me something on the sly I didn't request. Even after saying he had it In stock!! I don't like that deceitful behaviour. I Don't blame the boy it's the company pushing him to sell sell sell at any cost.. to push bonuses etc. I went to Hughes next door and brought my TV... the guy was honest told me what he had in stock and gave good opinion. Bang tidy! I got my TV .
Very interested in a new TV. Obviously while looking around in that section. Not one staff member took any interest or even came over to acknowledge my presence even to tell me someone will be with me in a certain time. No wonder people are turning to on-line
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Paid £200 in cash, in store to be put onto a gift card. The next day we called to ask why the money wasn't put in & they refused proof of receipt & stole the £200. It's been over a week & there has been no help at all. This is NOT the first time. To top all of this off, they were very rude in the process. Still trying to gain the money that I don't have back because Curry's committed a crime.
Purchased an item online that the website said was in stock at colchester. When i turned up to collect, i could see the item for sale in the store. However, i was not allowed to take the item on display as "my item " was being ordered in, and not actually in store yet. When I explained this to the manager and asked for some common sense to be applied, he could not have seemed less interested. Very poor customer service, and even less common sense.
Visited the store with my partner and was served by Masie. Masie has been extremely helpful with letting us know everything we need for buying appliances in our first home. We have returned twice now to see her. Real asset to the company with lots of knowledge on all products sold in store.
How this place makes a sale is beyond me. Twice in the last week I've walked out of here, because of awful customer service. They have lost over £1,500 of my money. Didn't want to go to Amazon,but was forced to buy these rude people.
Difficult to shop, specific premium sound bar, heavily promoted online, not on display in 3 different stores, Colchester store, staff were reluctant to interact, having had to ask for help twice having been dropped by the 1st salesperson. The 2nd guy, plodding around in his nike air, seemed even less interested than the 1st for our £599 purchase. We finally convinced him to sell it to us, and duly took it out to our car. Despite him bringing the bulky item out to my wife, there was no offer of help loading either. Should have just ordered online.
Was made to feel very uncomfortable both times I came into the store by 2 male colleagues. Both tried invading my personal space and insisting they look at my phone, when I didn't give permission. They both made me feel like I was in the wrong coming to collect an order for my husband even though I had the right info needed, and both were adamant to see the email confirming my order was ready to collect. I was collecting for my husband and I'm not sure why I was made to feel uncomfortable by the 2 male colleagues, but it really has left me feeling not welcome in store. I won't be coming back to curry's as a result. Tried speaking to a manager but he was busy with customers, but did metnion it to a really polite colleague alternative looking guy with long black hair who said thats unacceptable. I was so wound up by how I was treated I ended up just logging a complaint online. Your male colleagues need to be more aware of how they interact with customers.
