Surfside Fish Bar & Restaurant

This cute sea-side tea room & restaurant is reasonably priced and has a nice range of well presented food. The food taste isn't the best in the world but the presentation and friendly staff make up for it. Service can be slow at peak times when there can be a queue to be seated. They also do quite clever afternoon tea burger platters but the buns can be a bit on the dry side on rare occasions.

I visit here roughly every two years when visiting my partners family. We make the trip from County Durham and, without fail, we have truly epic fish and chips. The fish and chips are great and the staff are lovely. Very outdated decor, but this is part of the charm. Think of a 1960's seaside visit, with terrible British weather, all made good with nice fish and chips. Take antibacterial wipes for the baby change, though. Would recommend.

Extremly friendly staff. I had fishcake, chips and mushy peas for lunch, thoroughly enjoyed, proper cooked brown chips, not the normal horrible white ones you get elsewhere!! Very tasty fishcake and proper tasting mushy peas.Nice bread and butter and cup of tea made the perfect meal. Lovely sea views. Highly recommend

This place was busy and we had to wait for a table. It took a short amount of time before they found a table and were seated. The food was good, considering the price, and the table service was adequate. I love how they use ipad to take your order. It's very convenient. I've been here's few times before.

It's right beside the beach, good, free car parking, delicious food at reasonable prices, very friendly staff. The homemade scones are delicious!! The range of food goes from Fish and Chips, Paninis to afternoon tea on beautiful China.
