We booked a table online for the sun inn. It was a busy Sunday lunchtime with lots of families in this dog friendly pub. Staff were nice but busy. The scotch egg was a great start. Fish and chips was the highlight. The sharing Sunday roast board to share was massive. Full of meat. Chicken, roast beef, pork two ways with Yorkshire, potatoes and veg. Good gravy. Decent place for Sunday roast!
We had a first class Sunday lunch here today. Roast beef, nice and pink plus all the trimmings! The staff couldn't have been nicer too. They bought extra gravy when I asked which was rich and glossy!
Warm reception, staff are all fantastic. Food was delicious and the drinks were great and served well. Good took a while to come out but it was a busy Sunday so no complaints there! Lovely spot to enjoy lunch and drinks in the sun!
Front of House Staff were so welcoming as per even when we forgot to book a table, it’s highly recommended! Lamb has nice flavour & fattiness however was not exactly warm?… Chicken was lovely, you’d think it’d be a basic roast chicken but they added something to make it almost buttery in both flavour and texture! HOWEVER, please bring back the ROAST PORK! That’s what we always come here for
I went for dinner with my parents. I booked an outdoor table. This pub is located just across Barnes lovely lake. It is quite a big pub with a nice warm and cosy atmosphere. It has also has a nice spacious outdoor dining area, with various tables. We dined outside as the weather was nice. We ordered: scallops with a'ndja and fried calamari with a paprika dusting on top. Both starters were tasty but if you are looking to share I'd definitely recommend to order a few more of these starters as they are not a sharing plate and the portions for one person are just right. Both dishes were very well presented and pleasingly to the eye. We then ordered for our mains: 2 fish and chips and an octopus plate with potatoes and a'ndja. The fish and chips batter was really lovely crispy and light, not soggy. The octopus dish was very tasty, the combination with a'ndja was interesting and yummy but the octopus portion was not as generous as I was hoping for. We then shared a biscuit dessert which was very nice and well presented. It had some pistachio and other colored dusting on top if it and around the plate decorations. My first choice was the strawberry Eaton mess which I had seen on the website menu and looking forward to but sadly they did not have it : We also had drinks and spent per head £36.50 and the service is included in the bill. The staff was nice and friendly and the pub is a dog friendly one. Summing it up: nice atmosphere, nice food with a good menu option and nice courteous staff. I'll definitely want to visit again and might ask them if they can save an Eaton mess for me next time

One of the best pub I found around my area the staff where amazing and the food was excellent if you are in barnes definitely pop inside you will not be disappointed also they are dog friendly
I spent a lovely afternoon here with my daughter and granddaughter. We had a delicious lunch. The service was first class, so efficient and such friendly staff
I would have always given this little pub five stars just from the amount of dogs in the beer garden! However, they happened to also smash it with the service, the food and the vibe too
Great food with amazing service. Friendly people with smiley face. Overall everything is amazing. Ciro Lamba and Bruna looked after very well. Of course massive thanks to chefs who cooked this amazing food. Thanks
