The nicest Vegan Roast in the area. £17, yes a tad pricey compared to other roast dinners around but they do the best Vegan Wellington and gravy. The roast potatoes are delicious and crispy and the veg are cooked perfectly. So delicious that we always have to get extra potatoes! Great for a special treat!
Amazing food, nice ambiance and close to our hotel. The staff could be better organized as it seemed like all of them were taking turns being host, waiter, and clearing tables. We waited a long time, 40+ minutes, to place our order. Once it was placed the food came fast but I had to ask the server if we could put our order in once they were close enough to get their attention. Recommend waving them down before too much time passes.
Great portion of food and the chicken sandwich tasted great , great fries as well . Waiters are friendly but might still be in training . When they sat two of us at a 6 person table , they didn’t make room and take away 4 other sets of cutlery. Even after I move them to a side , no one seemed to have noticed nor have put the plates away.
We do love our rituals of Sundays brunches or lunches. Londoners are spoiled with so many choices offering classic, modern and experimental cuisines. For us finding that place where you can return to for the delicious Sunday roast meals is important. A welcoming place, where you do feel like having a home cooked meal or a unique happy food experience. The Mitre is that place where the Sunday roast gives us than mmmm yummy home cooked feeling. It gets busy here and the service can get a bit sloppy. But the overall experience is worth coming back for sure. After your meal I would recommend a walk in Holland Park specifically by the Kyoto Garden.
Really amazing Sunday roast and would definitely recommend coming. Everything was cooked to perfection and I would say that the meal definitely fills you up.
Had a lovely lunch here today the roast pork was amazing, problem with my husband's burger was swiftly dealt with and a fresh one cooked it was taken off the final bill which was an amazing touch. The host at the front door was brilliant very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return when next in the area.
We originally stopped in here for an item on the menu that was posted outside, but when we sat down that item wasn't offered on the menu presented to us. As it turns out, there were plenty of other options and the food tasted great. The service was also very attentive and excellent and we felt very comfortable. We ended up going back the next night to get another sticky toffee pudding as well as the apple one to go. It was perfect!
Fantastic roast and great atmosphere. Glad we finally decided to go in and try the food this weekend!
I went to The Mitre for lunch with friends and 2 dogs. The pub is very dog friendly. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff brought a bowl of water for the dogs. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We did not wait long for our food, which was delicious and value for money. The pub also has a good selection of drinks and cocktails to choose from. We definitely recommend this place and will return.
Very nice ambiance. Food is tasty, but considering it is a pub, the portions are rather small.
