SubBass Academy of Electronic Music is a DJ and music production college with over 14 years experience in teaching. With new fully equipped studios located in Westminster, we offer a full range of studio and online DJ courses as well as Music Production Courses to suit everyone from beginners to individuals at more advanced levels as well as those who want to refine and broaden their skills. Whether you’re looking to launch your career as a DJ or Music Producer or are looking for one to one tutoring and advice, there is a suitable path for you at SubBass.
At SubBass we focus on keeping our class sizes small so that as a student you have not only plenty of time to learn and understand all the techniques but have the added benefit of individual attention from our tutors, all of which are professional DJ's and Producers
All students receive their own individual workstation for the entire duration of their DJ or Music Production course.
The SubBass studios are split into 2 sections - our music production area which has 6 individual music production workstations and a live room for vocal recording, working with analogue equipment, mixing down and mastering. The DJ course learning zone has a main teaching area and 4 individual DJ practice rooms. SubBass is the only music training centre with individual DJ practice booths, and this means you get to practice in a private live music environment instead of working in headphones.
Every month SubBass students are also chosen to play at The Gallery, Ministry of Sound!
Any student on a music production or DJing course has the chance to grace the decks at this world famous club, supporting the biggest DJs in the world. SubBass DJ's have gone on to play all over the world for clubs such as Pacha, Cable, fabric, Egg, Cargo, Brixton Academy, Space Ibiza, Amnesia Ibiza, Sankeys and many more.
SubBass producers have released on record labels like: Hot Creations, Wiggle, Vitalik, Toolroom, Catwash, Baroque, Kult, Shiva De-lab, Maquina Music, Pink Rabbit, Armada Music, Global Underground and many more.
SubBass Instructors are all currently working at the top of the dance music scene, so you are learning from people with the most up to date knowledge and the right contacts, to help you get out there into the industry, get gigs and get your tracks released.
