Lovely, quiet, clean restaurant, food was really tasty and the staff were lovely and attentive.Food: 5/5
Awful pre-made rubbish and tiny portions. Had a bad stomach the morning after eating here
My Lasagne was delicious, I would have liked 2 garlic bread slices as I've had that previously, & the skin on chips was really nice too. My Salad was a little sad, although it wasn't an 'extra' my lettuce was a little disappointing, rather dark & limp & under ripe tomatoes! However I would definitely recommend the Lasagne. My husband had a Stack Burger which he said was great, skin on chips & coleslaw. We both had the Profiteroles, very nice & the sauce was not too sweet just lovely. Service was good, the waitress friendly too, she just forgot my glass of wine. Overall a nice dinner & we would definitely go back again.
Nice food and menu, convenient location, friendly staff.Food: 4/5
We waiting for about 5 minutes to be seated with 3 members of staff seeing us and walking past. This was during a quiet time with about 4 or 5 tables of people eating. The food wasn't great, it was all frozen food that had just been reheated. The tables were clean enough but the rails and shelves were all dusty and you could see cobwebs in the corners of the walls.
First visit of 2023 and, as always, a warm welcome, tasty Sunday lunch and very pleasant staff. Traditional pub food which has never failed to be of good value. Visited many times in 2022. Parking: Lots of spaces you just have to type in your registration number.
Great place, friendly staff. Food was lovely, hot, and served all at the same time. Great price and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommendFood: 5/5
Building Grotty. Staff don't give a damn. food undercooked was returned to kitchen and told by one of my party who is a chef, too cook properly. coffee machine will only product lukewarm coffee, crockery is old and warn. Day Manager serving wearing ripped jeans and server show exposed tattoos, tables need to be stripped and recovered as lots show peeling and chipped stain / varnish, carpets heavily marked and sticky in places with stale beer, toilets need to be thought out and redesigned bad sewerage smell entire venue need to re refurbished so does the hotel next door. breakfast was not a value of £10 or £60 for a party of 6, real world value of I was put a price on breakfast was worth around £5 per person. utterly horrid place.
Very disappointed service was slow ,we had to wait 30mins for our main meal after having a starter and I wouldn't mind if the place was full but It wasn't ,won't be going back there againFood: 1/5
Stayed at the Premier Inn next door, could not fault that. But the stone cross pub. Absolutely terrible, one member of staff very rude. More interested flashing her long eye lashes.first night meal was ok. 2nd night we booked for 8pm. They put us in a thorough fare. Children running past us. Asked to be moved, they seemed very put out. Then the waitress with the eye lashes more or less threw our garlic bread on the table.when we eventually received our meal 1 hour later. Steak was over cooked, chips not cooked properly and onion rings soggy. Suppose we paid the price for asking to move. Breakfast wasn,t much better. I can confirm we will not be going back.
