Beautiful old house with a lovely feel to it. Staff were friendly and good facilties but!! We had a newly decorated room in the stable complex. The room was great but seemed to have been put back together in a hurry. The heating didn't work properly, the curtains on one window wouldn't draw and the toilet cistern was mounted on what looked like three bits of firewood. Ideally located for touring and once the rooms are sorted a good place to go.

Very smart surroundings. We stopped off for coffee which was delightful and served in the very traditional hotel bar lounge. I would say though that then could make more of it, didn't seem to be any snacks or cake on offer. Toilets were smart and downstairs, disabled accessible ones on ground floor but didn't visit them access to hotel btw via stairs at front but do have a chair lift at side.

We were originally supposed to be staying in the old stable courtyard rooms, which although small were reasonably priced and nicely decorated. Due to a noisy neighbour we decided to upgrade to one of the mansion rooms. These are astounding, spacious and very well presented. The staff have all been very well mannered and incredibly helpful. The breakfast was a fairly standard buffet but was very appetising, with a lot of different things to choose from. The swimming pool has been out of order but this hasn't affected us negatively at all. Overall our stay has been incredibly nice, its a lovely area and we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful place to visit and an ideal setting for a wedding. The weather can make all the difference as you can then explore the breath taking gardens. Don't expect cut prices but do expect to get what you pay for. Highly recommended for a romantic weekend away.

The manor house is impressive! It looks equally good by day and when it's lit up at night. The long driveway is heavily pot-holed so approach with caution. The staff are all professional, pleasant and courteous. The Old Courtyard room that I stayed in was very small and it wasn't possible to get an acceptable water temperature from the shower. The receptionist was going to report this to the maintenance team. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and I do feel that I got value for money for my stay. The gardens and grounds were well-maintained and were nice to walk around.
