Fair pricing, well lit and clean. Spaces are not too small. Lifts up to the parking decks. Easy to find. Would park here again for Newcastle city centre. Cost £4.60 for just over 3 hours.
If I could’ve given zero stars I would’ve done. I stayed at the adjacent Crowne Plaza for a function being held at the hotel and was sold parking through IHG, to park at the Stephenson Quarter Carpark. I parked my vehicle at the Carpark 26th November 2022 and upon returning the next day 27th November 2022 discovered my vehicle had been damaged front left-side bumper. Immediately I went to the attendants office at the exit on the 9th floor to the Crowne Plaza and Conference Centre, the Carpark security immediately said the vehicle hadn’t been damaged or scratched despite the pictures clearly showing that it had been. Being unable to do anything about it as it was a Sunday I was advised to contact the Carpark on a weekday and drove home. I contacted the Stephenson Quarter Carpark on Tuesday 29th November 2022 and was told by the attendant on duty and also the management company KnightFrank that they would review the footage and to call back later in the week. I called back towards the end of that week to be told that they had not had the opportunity to review the footage, and the permanent attendant only worked three days a week, and so from Thursday to Monday it was only attended by temporary staff. Calling back the week later, I found that they had still not had the chance to review footage due to the Carpark being busy etc. I called back around the 7th December 2022 to be told that they had not had any opportunity to review the footage further and again advised to call back early the following week. I called the Carpark/ management company KnightFrank on Wednesday 14th December 2022, only to be told that their DVR that stored the footage had been overwritten and thus no footage was available. After being informed that the information I’d been given surrounding the working hours of the usual attendant Martin was false, as was confirmed by the man himself on the phone who informed me that he had not had the opportunity to review the footage as he had been reassigned by KnightFrank to another Carpark operated by them and thus had not had the opportunity to undertake the review of the footage as promised. I then reviewed information from Martin as to escalating the matter to the locations manager PB. The man was the most condescending individual I have ever had the opportunity to encounter, never before have I encountered such an unprofessional manner. The man PB laughed it off , telling me that he was one hundred percent certain that KnightFrank’s insurers would dismiss the claim and refuse to payout for the damage to my vehicle. When I said that KnightFrank would hear from my solicitors on this matter PB laughed and dismissed me saying he was confident that KnightFrank would not be liable. The key issue here aside from PB’s condescending manner is that I have been passed from pillar to post in relation to the damage that my vehicle sustained whilst parked at the Stephenson Quarter Carpark. KnightFrank particularly PB have sidelined the issue I raised with them, then effectively attempted to intimidate me, telling me it would be within my interests to simply claim through my own vehicle insurance. I had asked for details of KnightFrank’s insurers, PB laughed, reiterating the point about his one hundred percent certainty that the insures would dismiss the claim and KnightFrank would not accept liability. A notice in a Carpark is not a sufficient waiver of liability, as PB says they have notices all around the Carpark. I cannot emphasise strongly enough how poorly I have been treated by the Stephenson Quarter Carpark and the management company KnightFrank. My vehicle has sustained well over £1000 worth of damage, they were quick enough to take my money. DO NOT PARK YOUR VEHICLE AT THE STEPHENSON QUARTER CARPARK. DO NOT USE THE STEPHENSON QUARTER CARPARK. KNIGHTFRANK HAVE PASSED ME FROM PILLAR TO POST, they have NO REGARD for the welfare of their customers or THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLES PARKED WITHIN THEIR STEPHENSON QUARTER CARPARK. DO NOT USE STEPHENSON QUARTER CARPARK!.
Went on Sunday, it was very busy and the prices and the payment facility were excellent. It was managed by a staff member - always a bonus if experiencing problems, but fortunately, I did not encounter any issues. You don't need to be a contortionist to exit the vehicle!! Plenty of spaces neatly marked out with a touch more room than the usual sardine can parking bays that leave you needing a can opener to get out of your car, !! Would recommend
Great car park, very handy for the station and cheaper than station long stay. Parked there over night and paid for the time we used when we left. Good size parking spaces.
The most reasonably priced car park I've seen in the entire country. I came to Newcastle for my birthday and my friend parked her car for 2 days at Stephenson Quarter. She was dreading how much it would cost but when we collected the car it worked out to be £24 for the 48 hours or 50p per hour.
Easily accessed and plenty of spaces. The parking bays are well marked and well lit.
Good place to park for city center. Decent prices and it's always well lit and clean. Never struggle to get a space here.
Perfectly fine car park and ideal if you are staying at the nearby hotel. However, the layout of the car park is terrible, with very tight turns that is confusing.
Wow entrance is tight when driving a SUV. You can’t be scared of manoeuvring in tight spaces.
Not bad actually for a city centre car park. The spaces are a reasonable size, not too expensive and clean and tidy lifts and stairs. Convenient for Quayside or for Life Centre etc.
