Great views from the platform, station serves its village well.

I'd just like to give a round of applause and a pat on the back to the two lads who stood at the barriers last night to help people onto the station and kept the flow moving. Their good humour and people skills kept everyone calm and put a smile on our faces. This was after the Bryan Adams concert at Powderham Castle. Well done lads.

"STARCROSS RAIL STATION".....After an away day to 'EXETER CITY', on a business or sight seeing trip and catching a 'two car train', with standing room only, you might want to experience the views at "STARCROSS", especially at sunset, when the tide is out.....Views to 'EXEMOUTH', 'DAWLISH WARREN', 'LYMPESTONE', further up the long Estuary......Alas, their is only a footbridge to "STARCROSS", as with many stations on 'BRUNELS RIVIERA LINE"......Access to the piers is limited by locked gates, but the views at sunset will keep you busy until the next train arrives.....Inter City Trains usually run at high speed through the station, so you are advised to stay away from the platform edge at all times.....You can also walk to 'POWDERHAM PARK' from here, to see the 'FALLOW DEER', stopping on the way at the 'ATMOSPHERIC RAIL PUB'......It is a longer walk the other way to 'DAWLISH WARREN', but an interesting one at different times of the year, bright blue seas and golden orange sunsets....."STARCROSS RAIL STATION".....
