Small seaside town with some interesting features. Once past the amusement arcades and such it is a pleasant place. Good walks by the sea and over the red sandstone cliffs giving one good views of the railway which hugs the coastline at this point on its way west to Cornwall.

As a holiday place, Dawlish is truly a place worth visiting, if not spending a Summer vacation at.

Gotta be the most photographed piece of railway in the country. Nice little BR station with a fantastic view. Nice place to collect some numbers

Still Going Strong. Could not do without my Local Station. For trains to Exeter. Exmouth. Barnstaple. Leeds. Birmington. London Paddington. And Teignmouth. Newton Abbot. Torquay. Paignton.(For Vue Films) And Plymouth. Truro. Penzance. (And Taxis for go to Home). There's a great Cafe (GERONIMOS) by the Entrance for my cup of tea and Sandwichs for the journey.

No problem waiting an hour with a view as nice as that beach! Only problem being availability due to the size of the town
