I like this station for its location and friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for shopping because a lot of shops, cafes etc around in Exeter. So central location even my hotel is in front of this station. A lot of interesting points around such as cathedral, park and many more. Ticket office open as well as ticket machines.
This was a superb station for both arrival and departure, with appropriately sized platforms for the various train services! The structure is well maintained and the walls beside the greenery are really nice, departure boards are kept up to date too. Stairs make for ease of access in navigating out and the photos on the wall provide an insight into Exeter's beauty, cleanliness was enforced too!

Even if I got stopped at Exeter Central train from Okehampton. The train came only 3 minutes after my train. Good station especially the long platforms . It goes to London Waterloo using South Western Railway trains.
This wonderful station in the heart of Exeter’s cultural quarter is worth the change of trains at Exeter SD. Fabulous coffee shops have sprung up either side in the last couple of years now that the theatre, museum gallery and library writers’workshops are running again.
