We had a pleasant lunch here - there are the usual pub offerings, nothing too fancy but the food is done done well. They have a children's menu and a very good value lunch menu. Service was very friendly and there were no long waits.

I ate here with 3 friends yesterday Saturday lunchtime Just wanted to say it was an excellent experience. The menu had so much choice and we all really enjoyed our food. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the service quick. The atmosphere was just what we needed to catch up. Really brilliant. Thank you

Table not ready, no one seated at it, pub not overly busy. Seats and floor covered in food when we sat down. Food was nice. Hadn't finished main course when waitress was trying to take my plate. Told last orders it was before 21:00 and came with bill as we were eating our dessert, and took place settings away. Not impressed with service at all. All 5 of us won't be going back. Advertised as closing at midnight.

The Sunday roast dinner was lovely. A choice of roast joints of meat, nicely cooked vegetables, lashings of gravy and the best roast potatoes EVER! Plenty of friendly welcoming staff. Definitely recommend The Stanley.

Tbh every time I’ve been in there has been a big gang of us about 8 people and it has always been really nice and the service from every me ever of staff every time has been 100%. The food is also nice and homemade. Cannot fault it. Didn’t really want to review this place as I would like to keep it a little secret for the locals.

Great atmosphere in this pub, we went for a Sunday roast with no reservation. The staff made space for us. Expect huge portions, not two roasties, a sliver of beef and a dribble of gravy you definitely get what you pay for with this pub, plus more

I just go to this place for a beer, it’s my only option if I’m not driving. Food is expensive and super standard. Pre packed pies etc… beer is ok, some of the locals are super local… job for the boys…
