Best club in the UK. Subculture is without doubt the best house night you will ever experience. Drinks are great, sound system is immense and staff are all good.
Unbelievably immature young ginger haired Scotch lad of a bouncer. Myself & My Work Colleague a man of colour just arrived to Glasgow on a flight from Ireland, checked into hotel and went straight to this club to vibe to the DJ that was playing last night. Young lad "bouncer/doorman" who thinks he is a tough man asked did we know what was happening in the place tonight..we did indeed...as we know & respect the DJ that was playing....the young ginger lad mistakenly informed us that we were too drunk and to call back in half an hour...unfortunately we didnt have the pleasure of a drink having arrived straight from work...healthcare workers.....Needless to say I informed him we wouldnt be back and he agreed with me that he was a racist while appearing to have had enjoyment out of his actions. From a fellow Irish to a Scot...I am beyond disgusted. An apology would be beneficial, however, not expected. That young lad would bring shame to Scotland never mind to a nightclub & his work colleagues, bless his wee cotten socks.
Visited last night to see Ewan DJ who was brilliant, I was disgusted over hearing staff taking about, if we can throw some more people out of the club we can get some more people in that didn't have tickets, who are paying more on the door.
Music was terrible, same song played for over an hour “if you can call that a song” had 2 double jack daniels & didn’t even get a dunt must be watered down to almost no alchohol, myself & my girlfriend spent nearly £40 on entry & drinks then left after 70mins as wasn’t very good at all unfortunately, wasted night, definitely won’t be back.
Unbelievably disappointed. Entry was over 11 quid and pre booked ticket only, go buy two drinks, dance with my girlfriend for less than an hour. A bouncer comes into the the dance floor and tells me I have to leave and takes me outside, completely unwarranted. Girlfriend also had to leave after paying 11 quid. Would not recommend.
Not bad, not great. A mixed kettle of fish. Oi oi might go again might not
PLEASE DO NOT support this club. I came up to Glasgow as an early birthday treat to see my friend. When we were in the queue and tried to enter the club, an extremely arrogant and rude bouncer randomly selected myself and my friend and told us we were not allowed in for being ‘too drunk’. Considering my friend had not even been drinking and I had only had a couple earlier in the night, this was completely unwarranted. I saw quite a few other people in the same situation and no one could understand why they were being talked down to when they had already pre paid their tickets and were not in an ‘unfit state’. I have seen similar reviews about this and I really think management should speak to their bouncer and fire him. It’s clearly a capacity issue within the club, but we had all already bought our tickets. I’ve been left really frustrated by this experience and I do not recommend this club to anyone who wants to have a good night with their friends.
Paid for a ticket and was randomly selected to leave by a member of staff. Was told we seemed too drunk despite the fact we had only a few drinks between us and as we were being told to leave was the first time this staff member had even glanced at us. They blamed it all on one person in the group who was “too drunk” but was also the only one of us who was let back in. Very clearly had gone over capacity and were just kicking out the first people they saw.
Despite being thrown out because a guy next to me asked for K and I obliged and then the security caught me, which I don’t think is a big deal, I’ll still rate the place 4 stars, for its music and overall vibe.
Great night out, staff are brilliant, music & DJ's were outstanding.
